Cookie and Biscuit Packaging Machines
One cookie, a stack or a tray per pack? Define the format, size range and handling requirements before discussing a biscuit flow wrapper.

Start with a photo of the biscuit and its intended pack. Include the size range, pieces per pack and any tray. Note coatings, fillings or edges that need protection during handling.

These details let the team assess a flow-wrapping enquiry. They do not establish that a particular machine can handle the product; that needs a proposed configuration and a trial where required.

This page is for flow wrapping cookies and biscuits: reel film around the pieces, one long seal and two end seals. Weighing the pieces into a pre-made bag is a different packaging route. Say which pack you want before comparing machines. The parent brief for other bakery products is bakery packaging.

Look at the individual biscuit in its packing position: photograph it and send its size range with units. This is an explanatory sketch; film and machine are unspecified, and no handling trial is shown.

One Biscuit, a Stack or a Multipack?

For a single biscuit, measure the product itself. For a stack or group, measure the complete arrangement in its packing position. If there is a tray, include its outer dimensions and the height of any product above the rim.

Send a photo showing the arrangement you want inside the wrapper. State whether products arrive in that arrangement or need to be grouped before wrapping. The individual and multipack comparison is the next topic to review when deciding between formats.

A stack viewed from the side marks overall height, while a flat biscuit group sits inside the complete tray outline.
Compare the whole stack with the flat group: state the pieces per pack and measure the complete arrangement, including any tray. These are illustrative formats with no film, machine or tested grouping method specified.

Show Where Fragile Products Are Handled

Film the transfer from the existing line to the packing position. Show any manual loading and point out where biscuits chip, break or move out of place. Record their condition before a trial so damage from earlier handling can be distinguished from damage during wrapping.

When discussing manual or automatic feeding, ask who will supply grouping and transfer equipment, and how the arrangement will be tested with your biscuits.

An illustrated chipped biscuit is paired with notes for size range, pack count, tray and product condition before and after transfer.
Look at the marked edge and the condition notes: show existing chips before a trial and record any damage seen after transfer. The chip is an illustration, not a test result; film, machine and trial conditions still need to be recorded for your biscuits.

Ask What the Proposed Configuration Includes

Request a written scope for the infeed, wrapper and any coding or inspection equipment. Ask the supplier to identify included items, extra-cost options and anything that still needs a trial.

No cookie-specific configuration is confirmed on this page. Ask the LINEVO team which options are available for your product and size range.

Bring the Film Specification

Send the film supplier's specification, reel details and an existing pack if available. For printed film, include the print repeat. If film has not been chosen, say so and describe the intended pack and storage requirements.

Use the flow wrap film guide to prepare the material questions. Seal acceptance needs to be agreed for the actual film and pack.

Review Finished Packs from the Trial

Agree which biscuit damage and seal defects make a pack unacceptable before the run. Ask for the product, film, machine settings and running period to be recorded with the results. Review the finished packs as well as the video.

There are no cookie trial results on this page yet. Use the requirements checklist to prepare your samples and questions for the team.
